Job Description:

Minimum of 15 hours per week

The Assistant Case Manager is a member of the team responsible for processing claims in our disability department to determine if claimants are eligible for payment of benefits. The assistant must communicate frequently with plan members, plan sponsors and other departments.

What will you do?

  • Check for address changes

  • Process returned mail (letters, documents)

  • Verification of payments/invoice return

  • Follow up on claim forms, medical information and other documents

  • Import documents into folders

  • Send fax requests

  • Create letters

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bilingualism (French, English) required- interactions with French-speaking customers or partners

  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism

  • Organizational and team skills, but who can also work with minimal supervision

  • A positive attitude and commitment to quality service

  • Able to work in a PC environment

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
